In 1982, with only $24 of capital, Jim Penman launched Jim’s Mowing – the very first step in his journey to becoming a household name. Initially, the company started as a part-time business, but quickly grew to become one of Australia’s most iconic franchise groups.
Jim’s Group has since expanded internationally, with franchisees now operating in New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
In 1989, after shifting Jim’s Mowing to a franchise model, the number of divisions under the Jim’s Group umbrella began to grow. More than 50 divisions are now delivering the highest standard of service across many other industries, from home and garden care to bookkeeping and insurance.
No matter the division, the Jim’s name stands for those same promises we make to all our customers: high quality, outstanding workmanship, and that ‘small business’ customer service.
